Design is how I serve.
After design school, a year in AmeriCorps sparked my commitment to using my skills to make a positive impact. Over the past decade, I’ve helped people find jobs, access public benefits, and build skills for better careers. This journey has revealed my calling: making important services that people rely on feel simple, clear, and approachable.
My working style: collaborative and visual
Years of using design thinking in complex organizations have taught me how to bring engineers, policy experts, and leadership into the design process: clear, visual communication and interactive workshops.
Well rounded expertise
To be successful in the government and nonprofit sectors, I’ve sought out upskilling opportunities, joined teams that push me, and flexed between disciplines. I can apply human centered design not just to websites and apps, but to internal processes and multi-channel services as well. My early career in graphic design developed my detail-oriented craft, while diverse work experiences have built me into a strategist and researcher.
Ready for the next chapter
I’m open to remote or Western North Carolina roles in product design, service design, or customer experience. I’m especially interested in civic tech, education/training, healthcare, and other spaces that deliver critical or beneficial services to people who need them.
